2026-08-20 –, 8 - Gemeinsam gegen Gas Zelt / United against the Gas Tent
A workshop in which we collectively think and discuss strategically about our own role(s) in the German-speakingclimate justice movement as part of a broader international movement with the explicit goal of creating a ruptural movement
This workshop is based on ideas from the (book) project All In (https://all-in.now). In the workshop, we will collectively reflect and advance our roles (as organizers, members of political groups & organizations) in the climate justice movement and the broader global left movement.
Key arguments from All In will be brought like, why we need ruptural strategies, which scenarios can be leveraged for rupture and what capabilities a ruptural movement requires.
The workshop will also consider the concept of movement ecology and the important role of movement-as-party in building a resilient and interconnected ruptural movement.
As a practical exercise to guide the discussion the workshop will conduct a movement mapping excercise using the collective knowledge in the room to identify gaps in capabilities and strategies within the German-speaking climate justice movement to become ruptural and capable of winning. This will help participants in considering the best next steps for the movement over the discussion on the following weekend.
Finally, the workshop will also consider the role of internationalism and international coordination in building a global ruptural movement.
Language: German and/or English, depending on the participants.
We are specificially calling on comrades with experience in strategizing/political practice and/or belonging to a political group/organization/network/etc. to join this workshop.
