// How can we stay politically active in the long run and live the resistance?
2026-08-22 , 12 - Seegras Bildungskollektiv Zelt / Seegras Education Collective Tent

The majority of activists step away from political work by the time they reach their early 30s at the latest. The freedoms of college life are coming to an end, and people face new challenges that they often find incompatible with their previous political work.
Yet emancipatory movements benefit immensely when people stay involved for a long time and can pass on their knowledge and experience.

How can we ensure that being politically active is more than just a “phase” during our time as students? How can we organize ourselves in a way that provides us with a sense of security if we don’t want to seek it in our professional careers? What kinds of resistant lifestyles exist that enable us to remain politically active in the long term and to put our values and ideas for a different kind of coexistence into practice even in our “private” lives? And above all—how can we, as a movement, support one another so that we don't have to face these challenges alone?

We have many questions, as well as a few ideas and experiences we’d like to discuss with you. After all, it’s precisely these seemingly “personal” questions—which are essential to how we can make a political impact in the long term—that should be given more space within our movement.
People who have already found their own answers to these questions are also warmly invited to join us and share their experiences and thoughts!
We look forward to seeing you!
