Demos sind asymetrisch, weisen Menschen einen passive Rolle zu, sind appellativ und oft auch langweilig. Wir glaube das Demos mehr sein könnten und wir diese als gezielte Bewegungsöffentlichkeiten für Bewegungsaufbau und strategische Diskussionen neu Denken sollten.
Historisch sind Demos entstanden aus Militärparaden und Karnevalsumzüge und sollten den Herrschenden Angst machen und die Organisiertheit der Arbeiter*innenbewegung demonstrieren. Waren sie also früher ein Ausdruck von Organisation müssen sie in Zeiten von Vereinzelung, Individualisierung und Neoliberalisierung als Mittel zur Organisierung neugedacht werden.
Wir stellen unsere Analysen und konkrete Ideen vor und wollen darüber mit euch diskutieren.

Demonstrations are asymmetrical, assign people a passive role, rely on appeals, and are often boring. We believe demonstrations could be more than this, and that we should rethink them as targeted public spaces for building social movements and strategic discussions.
Historically, demonstrations evolved from military parades and carnival processions and were intended to intimidate those in power and demonstrate the organizational strength of the labor movement. So while they were once an expression of organization, in an era of isolation, individualization, and neoliberalization, they must be reimagined as a means of organizing.
