Mata Kate (she/her),born 1989 in Mainz, works as a performer, movement and
dance mediator based in Kassel. Currently combining dance with political activism, especially climate protection she also works for the association BUND and is active in various climate protection alliances.
She studied linguistics, sociology and contemporary stage dance in Berlin, Milan and Kassel, and graduated in 2023. She continues her formation in Body Mind Centering and the holistic movement practice GYROKINESIS®. Her movement is also influenced by martial arts (Aikido, Kinomichi and KungFu) and urban styles that she trained as a teenager.
