Gas is not just an environmental or climate problem. It is an imperial tool of oppression and closely linked to genocides, war, and militarization, we are currently experiencing around the world. This panel unwraps these links and brings their harsh realities to the table. From Palestine to Argentina, from US struggles against ICE and Palantir to the activism against harbors and logistics, gas functions as a fuel of imperial wars and a lubricant of racial capitalist exploitation. The panel focuses activist perspectives and strategies of how to struggle in the local, German context, as well as strengthening existing networks against energy exploitation.
