This session brings together perspectives on collective action and labour organising across Big Tech including corporate employees, content moderation and platform delivery. We will hear from organisers of Lieferanfo Workers Collective, IG Metall union digital team, Tiktok strike organisers, ver.di union and Data Worker's Inquiry
Laurenz Quirin Sachenbacher: Laurenz is a researcher in the Data Workers' Inquiry, a participatory research project that highlights workers' class composition and supports transnational emancipatory struggles.
Sonthaya Etschenberg: ****Ex TikTok trust and safety employee, worker-to-worker organizer and organizing coach at the MATCH program (membership activation, training for change)
Sabrina Lamers: union representative and organiser at the labour union IG Metall, usually represents workers from traditional manufacturing industries such as steel, shipbuilding and metal and electrical engineering. However, she and her team operate solely
in IT and software, bringing together blue-collar and white-collar workers and leading union struggles in the transformed working class.
Merle: a works council member at Lieferando and an organizer in the Lieferando Workers Collective, building collective power with fellow riders across the platform delivery sector.

Daniel Gutiérrez: trade union secretary at ver.di’s project Zukunft der Mitgliedergewinnung, where he is tasked with developing experimental organizing practices, structures, and techniques in workplaces with high migrant densities, particularly in tech.

Yonatan Miller is a tech worker and trade union organizer from New York who considers Berlin home. He graduated from a Master’s Programme in Labour Policies and Globalisation, where he furthered his knowledge of the organizing challenges of global solidarity in the tech sector.
