Rainer Rehak

Rainer Rehak studied computer science and philosophy in Berlin and Hong Kong and has been working on the implications of the computerization of society for over 15 years. His research fields include fictions of technology, digitization and sustainability, convivial and democratic digital technology, epistemics of automation, and digital (de-)colonialism. With others he initiated the “Bits & Bäume” conference series for digitalisation and sustainability, and is co-chair of the FIfF.

There is little reporting in Germany about the genocide in Gaza and the murderous AI targeting systems used by the IDF. However, the role of US big tech remains completely in the dark. Google, Microsoft and, in particular, Amazon provide the IDF with the digital infrastructure necessary for its annihilation of Palestine. This talk will summarize the situation as well as the resistance movements.
