Dear people from rural areas, in agriculture and all those who are interested in these topics,

from 1-7 September 2025 the BäLäKä, a self-organized gathering of peasant and rural struggles, will take place for the first time in North Saxony (near Taucha)! We want to make topics related to agriculture and life in the countryside visible in various formats.

Accordingly, we are looking forward to a variety of program submissions that inspire, network, show new ways and possibilities for action, create alternatives and empower. From Germany, but also from other places in the world, to learn with and from each other.

Your contributions to the program

In order to make our program as diverse as possible, we look forward to your contributions! Would you or your group like to organize a workshop, lecture, project presentation, panel discussion, practical skillshare, knowledge exchange, sports and fun activities, artistic contributions, .... or another format?

Content-wise, the name of the gathering reveals it already

We welcome topics related to life in rural areas and everything to do with agriculture, such as access to land, seeds and water, generational renewal, agroecological practices, questions about infrastructure and lack of prospects in rural areas, BIPoC* and queer life realities in rural areas and much more.

The deadlines for submission are 25.06.25 and 06.08.25. We will try to get back to you as soon as possible after the deadlines.

Even without a program contribution, you are of course welcome to come or otherwise participate in the camp :-)
