Sparpolitik und damit verbundende Unsicherheitsgefühle und materielle Notlagen von Menschen spielen faschistischen und rechten Parteien in die Hände. Das hat Deutschland Anfang der 1930er deutlich gezeigt. Gleichzeitig werden zur Umsetzung unliebsamer Sparmaßnahmen oft autoritäre Mittel nötig, was auch zum Erstarken des Staates und rechter Parteien führt, wie es z.B. in Argentinien mit Milei als Präsidenten gut zu sehen ist.
Die Veranstaltung besteht aus einem 20-minütigem Vortrag über diese Zusammenhänge, welcher die Grundlage für eine anschließende offene Diskussions- und Austauschsrunde bietet, in der wir unsere Analyse von Faschismus und seinen Ursachen schärfen wollen und strategische Konsequenzen für unsere lokalen und internationalen Kämpfe gegen den Faschismus ziehen.

Austerity policies and the associated feelings of insecurity and material hardship of people play into the hands of fascist and right-wing parties. Germany clearly demonstrated this in the early 1930s. At the same time, authoritarian means are often necessary to implement unwelcome austerity measures, which also leads to the strengthening of the state and right-wing parties, as can be seen in Argentina, for example, with Milei as president.
The event will consist of a 20-minute lecture on these connections, which will provide the basis for a subsequent open discussion and exchange round in which we want to sharpen our analysis of fascism and its causes and draw strategic consequences for our local and international struggles against fascism.
