Waldbesetzungen sind mehr als eine direkte Aktion. Sie sind anarchistische, selbst organisierte Freiräume abseits von Kapitalismus und gesellschaftlichen Zwängen - ein Versuch gelebter Utopie.

Die Besetzung des Dannenröder Waldes war die bis heute größte bekannte Waldbesetzung und gleichzeitig die Geburtsstunde von "Wald statt Asphalt". Heute unterstützt und vernetzt WsA landes- und europaweit Besetzungen und Initiativen, die sich der Zerstörung unserer Lebensgrundlagen in den Weg stellen.

Im Vortrag erzählen wir euch mehr über die Aktionsform Waldbesetzung und nehmen euch mit auf eine Reise durch einige besetzte Wälder.

Forest occupations are more than just direct action. They are anarchist, self-organized spaces of freedom beyond capitalism and societal constraints—an attempt to live out a utopia.

The occupation of the Dannenröder Forest was the largest known forest occupation to date and, at the same time, marked the birth of “Wald statt Asphalt” (Forest Instead of Asphalt). Today, WsA supports and connects with occupations and initiatives across Germany and Europe that stand in the way of the destruction of our natural resources.

In this talk, we’ll tell you more about forest occupation as a form of activism and take you on a journey through some occupied forests.
