Inmitten von Klimakrise, Kriegen, weltweiter Militarisierung und explodierenden Kosten für uns alle plant Wirtschaftsministerin und Gaslobbyistin Katherina Reiche aktuell 20 neue Gaskraftwerke. Wie kommt es dazu? Was hat das mit fossilem Kapitalismus und Neokolonialismus zu tun? Und vor allem: Wie können wir es verhindern?

Im Workshop lernst du Ende Gelände kennen: Wir sind ein Bündnis für Klimagerechtigkeit, das seit vielen Jahren mit Massenaktionen zivilen Ungehorsams fossile Projekte blockiert. Unsere Wurzeln liegen in der Anti AKW-Bewegung, anschließend haben wir durch massenhafte Blockaden Braunkohlegruben den Kohleausstieg mit eingeleitet. Unser Versprechen "We Shut Shit Down" gilt seit einigen Jahren auch der LNG- und Gasinfrastruktur. Das haben wir zuletzt im Mai gezeigt. Im Ruhrgebiet waren wir gemeinsam mit tausenden Menschen im Ruhrgebiet auf einem Klimacamp, vor den Werkstoren und auf der Straße gegen den Gasausbau und die Rüstungsindustrie aktiv.

Amid the climate crisis, wars, global militarization, and skyrocketing costs for all of us, Minister of Economic Affairs and gas lobbyist Katherina Reiche is currently planning 20 new gas-fired power plants. How did this happen? What does this have to do with fossil capitalism and neocolonialism? And above all: How can we stop it?

In this workshop, you’ll get to know Ende Gelände: We’re an alliance for climate justice that has been blocking fossil fuel projects for many years through mass acts of civil disobedience. Our roots lie in the anti-nuclear movement, and we subsequently helped usher in the coal phase-out through mass blockades of lignite mines. For several years now, our motto “We Shut Shit Down” has also applied to LNG and gas infrastructure. We demonstrated this most recently in May. In the Ruhr region, we joined thousands of people at a climate camp, and took action in front of factory gates and on the streets against the expansion of the gas industry and the arms industry.
