Wie können wir strukturelle Gewalt, Machtmissbrauch und Grenzüberschreitungen in Communities langfristig bearbeiten, ohne auf Polizei, Straflogiken oder Ausschlüsse zurückzugreifen? Wie schaffen wir politische Räume, die Verantwortung übernehmen und dadurch handlungsfähig bleiben?
In diesem interaktiven Workshop lernen wir Transformative Gerechtigkeit (Transformative Justice) als politische Praxis kennen. Verwurzelt in abolitionistischen, Schwarzen, queer-feministischen und antirassistischen Bewegungen versteht sie Gewalt als Ausdruck gesellschaftlicher Machtverhältnisse und fragt danach, wie Communities Verantwortung übernehmen, Betroffene unterstützen und Bedingungen schaffen können, die Gewalt langfristig vorbeugen.
Gemeinsam beschäftigen wir uns mit Community Accountability, kollektiver Verantwortung und Care als Grundlage solidarischer Organisierung. Statt auf staatliche Institutionen oder Strafe zu setzen, erkunden wir Ansätze für nachhaltige Veränderung und langfristige politische Handlungsfähigkeit.

How can we address structural violence, abuse of power and boundary violations in our communities without relying on police, punishment or exclusion? How can we create political spaces that take responsibility and remain capable of sustained action?
This interactive workshop introduces Transformative Justice as a political practice rooted in abolitionist, Black, queer feminist and anti-racist movements. It understands violence as an expression of structural power relations and explores how communities can take responsibility, support those affected and create conditions that prevent violence in the long term.
Together, we will explore community accountability, collective responsibility and care as foundations for solidarity-based organising. Rather than relying on state institutions or punishment, we will discuss approaches that enable lasting change and sustainable political organising.
