Exploring the Environmental Justice Atlas
24.08.2025 , C4C 4

The Environmental Justice Atlas has been documenting environmental and social injustice and supporting communities on the ground for years. It is a collaborative tool to support activists, organizers and campaigners to examine past cases and to help strategize on the elements of winning campaigns. It is also a valuable networking tool so groups working on related issues or against the same corporate actors can connect with potential allies.
In this workshop we want to collectively browse through the Atlas, discuss how we can use it for our struggles and think about ways to improve it so it fits our needs as activists.

intern at the EJ Atlas

I've been involved in environmental justice struggles for a couple of years now and will start an internship at the Environmental Justice Atlas in September. Our aim is to make the Atlas better known within movements and hear from activists about ways to improve the Atlas to fit their needs. In the concrete project I'll be involved in we will document historic wins of environmental justice movements against fossil fuel mega projects. This way we can learn from them and strategize accordingly for the struggles yet to come.
