2025-08-23 –, Anti-imperialist Tent 2
More than a year and a half of genocide in Gaza has further exposed the brutality of Israel’s occupation of Palestine. We know colonialism and extractivism are the root cause of the climate and wider ecological crisis and have been for centuries. At the same time people in power across the world rush to spend more and more on military, averting urgent climate action just to generate more profit. Our workshop will look at the intricate links between the occupation of Palestine, climate breakdown, and militarism through examples of the corporations that foster and profit from them. We’ll explore what resisting them could look like and how we can build power against them.
To discuss these intersecting issues, the workshop will involve some presentation of the key connections as well as some facilitated workshop exercises.

Klima für Palästina is a group of climate justice activists who see justice for Palestinians as inseparable from climate justice and environmental justice. The group, which was formed in October 2023, recognises that Germany’s mainstream climate movement lacks inherent solidarity with Palestine, even though it is clear that there can be no climate justice on occupied land.
