Phasing out Fossil Fuels - Zone by Zone. Seit einigen Jahren kartieren wir, die Leave it in the Ground Initiative, weltweit fossilfreie Zonen (FFZ) und hab uns in diesem Jahr mit einem geförderten Projekt auf die deutsche Hochschullandschaft konzentriert. Wir untersuchen alle Campusflächen auf FFZ und schaffen dabei bundesweite Vergleichswerte, entwickeln Strategien und helfen Studierenden, Fossilfreiheit als Standard zu etablieren.
In diesem Vortrag können wir aktive Menschen in unser Netzwerk einbeziehen, Einblicke in unsere Forschung geben und Handlungsempfehlungen diskutieren.
Phasing out Fossil Fuels - Zone by Zone. For several years now, we at the Leave it in the Ground Initiative have been mapping fossil-free zones (FFZ) worldwide, and this year we have focused on the German university landscape with a funded project. We are examining all campus areas for FFZs, creating nationwide benchmarks, developing strategies, and helping students establish fossil-free as the standard.
In this presentation, we can involve active people in our network, provide insights into our research, and discuss recommendations for action.
Fossilfrei als neuer Standard - Warum Klimaneutralität unzureichend ist und was wir dagegen tun können. In dieser Session präsentieren wir die fossilfreezones.org- Initiative und entwicklen anschließend weiterführende Strategien zur Implementierung. Optional können sich Teilnehmende zum Fossil Free Ambassador weiterbilden und damit die Bewegung effektiv in ihre Institutionen tragen.
Fossil-free as the new standard – Why climate neutrality is insufficient and what we can do about it. In this session, we will present the fossilfreezones.org initiative and then develop further strategies for its implementation. Participants have the option of training to become Fossil Free Ambassadors, enabling them to effectively promote the movement within their institutions.

Fossilfree Zones ist eine Bewegung der Leave it in the Ground Initiative (LINGO). Wir heben zukunftsweisende Orte hervor und etablieren damit einen neuen Standard. Derzeit wenden wir das Konzept intensiv in der deutschen Hochschullandschaft an - als Grundlage für weitere Verbreitung.
