In unserem Vortrag geben wir euch einen aktuellen Überblick über alle aktiven Waldbesetzungen und deren Kämpfe.

Die Besetzung des Dannenröder Waldes war die wohl bislang größte Baumhausbesetzung. Die Räumung der mehreren hundert Strukturen zog sich über mehrere Wochen hin. Als Ende 2020 schließlich das letzte Baumhaus zerstört und der letzte Baum gefällt wurde, stand für uns fest: In jedem Ende steckt auch ein Neubeginn. Und der Kampf gegen die Zerstörung unserer Lebensgrundlagen hat gerade erst begonnen.

Tatsächlich entstanden nach der Räumung des Dannenröder Waldes zahlreiche neue Waldbesetzungen. Das Wissen, dass im Danni und zuvor im Hambi gesammelt wurde, wurde von Besetzung zu Besetzung weitergegeben. Wo auch immer Wälder und Moore von Megainfrastrukturprojekten bedroht werden, steigen heute Menschen in die Bäume und fordern: Wald statt Asphalt!

Nach einer kurzen Einführung über den Ursprung und die Arbeit von "Wald statt Asphalt" nehmen wir euch mit auf eine Reise durch die aktiven Waldbesetzungen und informieren euch, welche Orte in der kommenden Rodungssaison besonders bedroht sind und wie ihr sie unterstützen könnt.

The occupation of the Dannenröder Forest was arguably the largest treehouse occupation to date. The clearing of the several hundred structures dragged on for several weeks. When the last treehouse was finally destroyed and the last tree felled at the end of 2020, it was clear to us: In every end lies a new beginning. And the fight against the destruction of our livelihoods has only just begun.

In fact, numerous new forest occupations emerged after the clearing of the Dannenröder Forest. The knowledge gathered in the Danni and previously in the Hambi was passed on from occupation to occupation. Wherever forests and moors are threatened by mega-infrastructure projects, people are now climbing into the trees and demanding: Forest instead of asphalt!

After a brief introduction about the origins and work of "Wald statt Asphalt," we'll take you on a journey through the active forest occupations and inform you about which places are particularly threatened in the coming deforestation season and how you can support them.
