SUBMISSIONS

We have two submission rounds this year:

Registrations for round 1 are possible until 08.06.2025.
Registrations for round 2 are possible until 20.07.2025.

We will most likely not be able to process any registrations after July 20. We will get back to you after approx. 2 weeks.

*You can find the submission form at the bottom of this page. It takes around 20-30 minutes to complete. We recommend that you fill out the form on a laptop or PC rather than a smartphone and read the following information beforehand.

GENERAL INFO

The System Change Camp emerged from the climate justice movement and takes place annually to provide a space for encounters, networking, content-related training, skillshares, strategic discussions and cultural programs. This year's camp will take place in Frankfurt am Main from 14.08-26.08.

WE NEED YOUR COOPERATION FOR SUCH A DIVERSE PROGRAM!

With your group or as an individual, you can organise a lecture, workshop, information stand, exhibition, concert or any other format you can think of! There are few limits in terms of content. This year there is a focus on the History of Movement (more on this below), but there will be plenty of space for many different topics and types of content. We aim to create learning spaces focusing on privilege, sensitivity to discrimination and power structures. It is also possible to hold non-public program content, e.g. to create networking spaces for your own community, however we need an early request to organise this. There will also be space for spontaneous contributions at the camp (more information on this will be provided in the program or on site in the information tent). You are welcome to take inspiration from last year's program. Here is the link: https://www.system-change-camp.org/programm/#2024-08-06 .

FOCUS ON THE HISTORY OF MOVEMENT

This year's camp will have a focus on the History of Movement within our program. We want to learn which strategies were effective, how solidarity was built, what resistance there was and how this was able to be overcome. Historical knowledge strengthens our collective self-image, creates continuity and makes it clear that today's struggles are part of a longer tradition. With this we aim to provide courage, orientation and a sense of community across generations. Knowledge of past movements can also help to form new alliances and deepen regenerative cultures.

MARKET OF POSSIBILITIES

We will be organising a 'Market of Possibilities' again this year:

This is a space where different political groups from the left spectrum can introduce themselves and get in touch with interested people from the camp. You can register for this in the form at the end of the text.

REMOVING BARRIERS

We want as many people as possible to be able to take part in the camp. That's why we take care to remove barriers - i.e. obstacles that could prevent people from taking part.

For workshops and other content

We are very happy if your content is designed to be barrier-free and will be happy to give you tips on how to do this.

Language: We ask all speakers to use easily understandable language. This helps people who are new to activism and people for whom the German language is a challenge. We are particularly happy if you can offer your content in simple or easy language.
Simple language means using short and clear sentences, using simple words and formulating them as actively as possible. Pictures can also help to make content easier to understand.
Easy language goes even further: it follows fixed rules and is particularly aimed at people with learning difficulties. Texts in plain language should be checked and particularly easy to understand.

Translations: If you would like to have your program item translated into another language and cannot organize this yourself, we can support you. Please send us an e-mail in good time to let us know the content and languages for which you need the translation. We will do our best to find a suitable solution. If you can work for us as a translator yourself, we would be delighted to have your support.
Write an email to programm@system-change-camp.org with the subject “Translation” for any translation-related requests.

On Friday, August 22, we are organizing a day of low-barriers. On this day, there will be a particularly large number of offers in simple or easy language, as well as other low-barrier content. This means that people with learning difficulties can also take part in our program.
On this day, we will also prioritize content that deals with the topic of inclusion.
We will offer a skillshare to support people who want to make their content more accessible. We will announce this day on our website and via our channels. Contact campfueralle@system-change-camp.org to register or if you have any questions.
We welcome content that is suitable for people new to the movement and requires no prior knowledge.

For people offering content at the camp

We can also offer you as a speaker a variety of support for overcoming barriers. For this we offer you:

  • Translations
  • Technical support
  • Mobility aids
  • Retreat tents
  • Awareness structures
  • Shelters and beds
  • Nursing assistance

We are happy to support you. If you would like to accept the offer, please send us an email as early as possible to campfueralle@system-change-camp.org with the subject “Support search”.

You will soon find more information about the System Change Camp at www.system-change-camp.org but if you have any questions, please contact us at programm@system-change-camp.org

⚠️ We use the Pretalx software to make our work easier. For this, you will need to create an account for the submission. The name you enter there will be used by us in the program. No other personal data (such as your e-mail address) will be published. If you have any problems with the form, please send an email, to programm@system-change-camp.org and we will be happy to help you.

The submission is not yet a confirmation for your content, this will come later (approx. 2 weeks after submission). We will process the submissions in two rounds. Round 1 goes until 08.06.2025 and round 2 until 20.07.2025. Later submissions are possible, but will most likely not be able to be processed.

Completing the form takes around 20-30 minutes.
