This workshop by Sharifu Bagire and Nabuyanda John Solomon from Uganda explores how fossil fuel extraction, militarization, and global inequality are interconnected. Drawing from our personal experiences of community organising in the Global South, we will discuss what meaningful international solidarity between activists in the Global North and South can look like in the struggle against the fossil fuel industry. The workshop will also reflect on the role of nonviolent civil disobedience and mass action in confronting fossil capitalism and building collective resistance across borders.
