DESCRIPTION:This workshop by Sharifu Bagire and Nabuyanda John Solomon from
Uganda explores how fossil fuel extraction\, militarization\, and global
inequality are interconnected. Drawing from our personal experiences of c
ommunity organising in the Global South\, we will discuss what meaningfu
l international solidarity between activists in the Global North and South
can look like in the struggle against the fossil fuel industry. The works
hop will also reflect on the role of nonviolent civil disobedience and mas
s action in confronting fossil capitalism and building collective resistan
 ce across borders.
